The poem “At God’s Behest” featured in the parable G.O.D. A Love Story. Is a stylized version of what I consider to be my Rhema Word.
I’ve come to think of it as the mustard seed that grew the Image Nation of Numeria, and the Mathematical Bridge.
The Word : logos and rhema
Recognizing the difference between logos and rhema is essential for those seeking a deeper relationship with God through the Holy Bible.
Logos represents the eternal truths and principles found in the Holy Bible, while Rhema refers to the personal communication and guidance of God in specific situations.
Logos is Comprehension
Rhema is Eureka!
Together, logos and rhema provide us with a comprehensive framework to navigate our spiritual journey and live out our lives in faith and in practical ways.
Please understand that our personal rhema words may or may not follow the literal line of established theologians. This should not be viewed as disrespect for the Holy Word, but an understanding that theologians can never know how God will direct another.
“Who are you to judge someone else’s servant?
To their own master, servants stand or fall.
And they will stand, for the Lord is able to make them stand.”
-Romans 14:4
We find that many believers are afraid of being close with God. Perhaps they’ve been taught to feel ashamed, sinful or unworthy. Perhaps their pruning was done by Freddy Kruger instead of Edward Scissorhands.
But fear of the Bible is fear designed by humans.
Real life use of the Holy Bible is a personal agreement. No reward and punishment, only cause and effect. Ways and means that can be used everywhere and everyday.
This is why it’s so important that each person that quotes the Word, actually spends some time embodying the word. Find your Eureka!.
